Ethnic and culture dviersity

In the south african americans are considered less then humans and started their full time work till death at the age of 12 on the plantation or if they are lucky in the owners houses cooking and raising the owner's kids.
In the north while still considered property, most enslaved persons in New England enjoyed greater legal standing than slaves elsewhere in the colonies. They could sue and be sued, and they had the right of appeal to the highest courts. As in the south, however, they suffered harsh treatment and couldn't bear arms and sometimes they revolted, but white men would kill them for it.
